* How do I get the Silph Scope and Pokéflute?

You get the Silph Scope in the Casino Rocket Hideout after you beat Giovanni. You get the Pokéflute after rescuing Mr. Fuji. He gives it to you.

* How do I get passed the guards outside of Saffron?

You get tea from the Lady on the first floor of Pokémon Mansion in Celadon (the place where you get Eevee).

* How do I get Pokémon in Altering Cave to appear?

You get Pokémon in Altering Cave to appear through the Mystery Gift Feature. After you use the Mystery Gift, something will say that so and so Pokémon have appeared and Altering Cave.

* Do the old RB glitches still work?

Simple answer is No. Different technology, better programming. Missingno is there, but it doesn't do anything.

* How do I get the National Dex?

You get it by defeating the elite four. You must have 60 Pokémon in your Pokedex.

* How do I get the legendary dogs?

Depending on your starter depends on what Legendary dog you will see in the game. Here is what legendary you will get with what starter you chose:

Raikou --> Squirtle
Entei --> Bulbasaur
Suicune --> Charmander

Once you have defeated the elite four one of the dogs will then appear randomly anywhere on the map. It is really hard to catch any of the dogs so i suggest using a master if you do ever see your one.

* How do I get to Islands 8 and 9?

You get to them through using the Mystic and / or Aurora Ticket which you get from Nintendo Events.

* How do I get Mew?

You get it on Emerald. Have a look here for details on how to get it.

* What should I use my Master Ball on?

I would recommend using it on one of the legendary dogs as they run away their first turn. But you can use it on anything that you want.

* How do I trade with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald?

Have 60 Pokémon in your Pokedex and have the Nationaldex. Then just go to a pokemon centre and on the top floor you can trade.

* What's the difference between Fire Red and Leaf Green?

There really is no real differnce. The only difference is that some Pokemon only appear in Fire Red and some only in Leaf Green. Look here for a list
