Everything about the berries:* Where can i get berries?
- Woman in flower shop in Floaroma (common berry)
- Berry Master, house just west of Hearthome (uncommon berry)
- Woman in house at west end of Pastoria (rare berry)
- Berries 27 up to 35 can be picked up by a cute Pokemon in Amity Square (Hearthome).
- Berries 53 up to 64 are traded from Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, or an e-card.

- The Poketch application which shows where berries are ready to be harvested
- The soil looks dry (light brown or light gray) when it is time the water the berries
- Time spent in actual watering is shortened, because you can start watering and then shuffle to the side to water 1, 2, 3, or 4 planted spaces
As in previous games, berries grow in four phases (seed, seedling, growing bigger, blooming), each of which takes the same amount of time.
Each berry has an “ideal” growth time, which is extended by how much the game is played. In the berry list below, the “ideal” growth time is given. This is how fast a berry can be harvested if the game is turned on only to water the berry. If you are playing D/P, the growth time is extended by approximately seven minutes for each hour that the game is played.
If you water the seed on planting, and do not water any other time, you will harvest 2 berries.
Maximum harvest yield is noted in the list below. If you water at planting, and every time the soil is dry, there will be maximum yield. Watering times will result in intermediate yield. Berries which are harvested in 24 hours or less have dry soil once in each of the four growth phases. Berries with longer growth times have dry soil twice in each growth phase.
Berry patches which are in rainy areas need to be watered the same as berry patches in sunny areas.
D/P allows you to buy mulch, and use it before a berry is planted. Four kinds of much are available, from a girl in the Berry Master’s house.
Growth mulch allows you to grow berries in 3/4 the the normal time. This is useful when the normal growing time is 60 or 72 hours. The number of times that a berry has dry soil and needs to be watered is not changed with growth mulch.
Damp mulch extends growing to 1 1/2 times the normal harvest hours. This is useful when you have a berry with a short growing time. The damp mulch gives you more time to water the plant, and thus achieve maximum berry yield.
