* Minor Glitches
Go in Cycling Road wthout a Bicycle- Go in the pay booth and hold down Left while pressing B FAST. The lady will eventually let you through. This does not take long at ALL, about 5 seconds on average.
Get Through Ghost without Silph Scope - All you have to do is give it a PokeDoll. There's really nothing to it.
Walk With Fainted Pokemon- Go to the PC with 2 Pokemon, 1 fainted and 1 healthy. Deposit the healthy. You can walk with the fainted for about 4 steps.
Kangaskhan with Fly- Catch Misingno Teach it HM Fly. Feed it a Rare Candy. It will evolve into a Kangaskhan that knows Fly. (Note that there are variations of this trick.)
Fishing in Statues- You can actually fish in the back of Pokemon statues, such as the ones in the Pokemon League. But you won't find anything.
No Pokemon?- In Yellow, start a new game. Now go up to the patch of grass over Pallet. You can walk around for about 4 steps, but again, you won't find anything.
Stuck in Tree-In all three versions, walk into a chopped down tree and save. When you turn the game back on you will be stuck on top of the tree and unable to get out unless using Fly.
Thanks to The Sailor for this one!
* Major Glitches
Ditto's Secret Attack- (Only works in R/B). Alright. Catch a Ditto and use it in battle. Now, have it Transform into the opponent. Use the Select button to switch the first move with the last move. Now, get out of the battle in any way you please. Now Ditto's Transform move will be replaced with a move called "COOLTRAINER". I've never got it to work, since it always has 0 HP, but people that have claim that it looks like a combination between Flash and Earthquake.
Messed Up People- Use Hex Number 201 or 202 for the Mew Glitch in R/B (see the Mew Glitch section). It will be a pixelly square of a Trainer with a Charizard named 'M. Make sure you have PokeBalls. Now, throw one at 'M. Once it says "The Trainer blocked the ball. Don't be a thief!" the battle will end. Now, your name will be "VxVxVxVx" or something like that, every battle you get into will be the same as before except the Trainer has an Ash sprite, and sometimes when you talk to people they will act like you just beat the Pokemon League. Someday I might gain up the courage to save the game in this state and see what happens.
* How to Get Missingno
This is the most well-known way to get Missingno. It is quite simple to perform. First, go to Viridian City and talk to the old man. Say "no" and watch him demonstrate catching a Weedle. Now, Fly to Cinnibar Island and Surf up and down on the right coast. Some very high-leveled Pokemon depending on the characters in your name will appear, and then you'll run into a Pokemon called either "Missingno" or " ▒'M▒. You'll know you've run into one if the screen stays black for an additional 3 seconds. Unless you want to do some serious testing, just run away from this Pokemon and the 6th item on your slot will have a number with a glitch symbol by it. It's total is about 129.
* How to get to Glitch City
Enter the Safari Zone building. Pay $500 to join the hunt. Walk inside. Once you are inside the park, turn around and walk back outside. You will be asked if you wish to stop early. Say no, and return to the park.
Once back inside the park, save your game. Turn the power off. Turn the power back on. Walk back out of the Safari Zone. The man will not ask you if you're leaving early this time. Instead, he gives you the initial speech starting with, "Welcome to the Safari Zone!" Do not pay to return inside - instead, keep walking down past the man, and out the door. At this point, you have about 500 steps to waste by walking around. Where you choose to waste these steps will determine which Glitch City you visit, if any. For the "Forgotten Cave" GC, use your 500 steps to Surf along Cinnabar's coast (not walking on the island at all), or Surfing between Cinnabar and Seafoam. When your 500 steps run out, the PA will say, "Ding-dong! Your Safari Game is over!" You will be transported back to the Safari Zone entrance. When you leave the Safari Zone entrance, you will find yourself in Glitch City. If you used your 500 steps in an area with a major building (such as the land portion of Cinnabar Island, or any of the major cities). It's recommended that you use the 500 steps in one of the routes rather than a city - the Seafoam/Cinnabar coast seems to be the most interesting.
